Sveta, your drawings are wonderful, very lively! Where did you learn to draw so well? Here's my contribution to the thread (finally), not a very good drawing, but I'm not good at working in color. This is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning - my Christmas lights outside the front door (I sleep in the living room - strange life). I did try pen and ink, a sketch of two dogs - it was on the gallery but is gone now. Maybe the dogs went to play! happy.gif

I like the concept and simplicity of these Cristmas lights drawing. What I first see most often in the morning is a clock, and then another clock - because I'm difficult to go to sleep and difficult to wake up. I usually stop one of them in my sleep and wake up with the second. I'll sketch Them , but I am afraid it's a dull thing to see early in the morning, compared to your lovely Christmas lights!

You managed to do it brilliantly even not knowing the answer!!!

I don't know - I went looking for it about 2 days after I posted on the gallery (showing off my drawings to one of my co-workers) and it was gone. Not a big deal - I just went into my albums and showed it off. wink.gif It's just one of those computer things! This is the drawing I posted.

Ha! I know - I have two alarm clocks also - this morning I ignored both of them and overslept 30 minutes! It's hard to get out of the warm bed with three warm cats! happy.gif Thank you for the compliment - I'm pretty new at working with color pencils, I need practice! This weekend I'm going to sketch the oldest thing in my house - this is a fun thread!

A very quick sketch of my cats with felt tips and water. My favourite "creatures" in the house. Probably nostalgia for the cats' trade and nostalgia for sketching from life.

NCgirl, your puppies are adorable, I love the simple outline.

Sveta, great cats, that trade was a lot of fun!

I started a sketch book journal recently,
this is one of the pages I like.

Thanks Paulette - and thanks also for sharing your journal! I try to keep one too on a regular basis. Mine contains some pen/ink sketches, insane ramblings and my last will and testament! tongue.gif Journaling is a great way to keep the brain active with fresh ideas. Do you go back and re-read what you've done?
