Hi all,

I joined drawspace a little while ago but never got around to saying, "hello", choosing to lurk in the shadows and look at everybody else's artwork. I know, that's kind of rude, but I'm a pretty busy bunny.

I'm rusty with just about every kind of art although I used to be fairly proficient with water-colours. I did a quick sketch of my wife as an initial attachment seems to be the custom in the Welcome Forum. I hope it doesn't embarrass me too much (like I said, it's been a long time).

Hopefully I'll find the time and lost talent to do some other drawings... maybe one of the challenges.

Sickfish ....you are very talented !!! I love the portrait ...you have done a great job ... I hope you can find some extra time to keep drawing and keep showing your work as many could learn from you ...and there is so much for you to learn ...hope to see you around.

One of the things that I like about this forum is that there are people of all abilities here - I've seen some work that has made me green with envy.

I will of course try to find the time to draw - as I feel I've been neglecting what used to be a very relaxing skill. It's funny how life just keeps on piling those things on top of you.... *sigh*

Welcome to Drawspace Sickfish! Many people let their art slide to the side for awhile, me included, as life takes over. But when you refind it, you really refind it.

Your drawing shows the talent that you have and it will become even better as you make time to practice. Draw, post, ask questions. And most of all - have fun!

Islander - I don't believe your art has ever slid! Your labrador picture is amazing. I can only aspire to be as good as you... maybe in time (if I ever find the time to practice - teaching can be a bit demanding on my spare time).

Painter48 - thanks! I like the picture you did of the Pansy. Again... I'd love to try coloured work, but I'm not sure where to start. Watercolours seemed much easier than coloured pencils.
