HI-I am new to the site and wasn't sure where to post this question. Hopefully someone can help me. I saw the new interactive courses on teh website. 1. When do they run during the week and 2. Are they for adults only?

Thank you very much for any assistance.

Hi there, I am the tutor and curriculum designer of these courses. Yes these courses are fantastic for children aged 12 years and up or even as young as 10 years old if they are artistically motivated. I love teaching children and they do not need any special artistic ability or any previous experience whatsoever, just an interest in drawing. This course has successfully been taught to hundreds of children over the past ten years as a live tution model and has recently been adapted as a correspondence course. I have been teaching children by internet correspondence very successfully for twelve months now. Most of the children who have been through my courses receive high grades for art at school, develop a healthy self-esteem and most have won awards for their work in local and national art competitions. You can see more information about previous children's artwork on www.paintinyourpyjamas.com

All children require supervision for the course, in otherwords, you just need to help them download and print their weekly course. Once you print out their weekly course, help them to understand the instructions given and then let them complete the work. Once completed, scan their drawing into the computer, save your file then upload it into the course area. I will comment on their work and give them advice on where and how to improve. If I see that they do not fully understand the instructions I will give them more information and also ask them to do a little extra activity. It is as simple as that.

The course requires from 4 to 6 hours a week (for some exercises only 1 or 2 hours) to do some wonderful drawings and it is usually very interesting for them to do. They will have a full week from Friday to Friday to complete their assignments - this could be a great weekend activity. If you have any more questions please email me; cindy@drawspace.com l look forward to hearing from you again. Could you please make sure you email me the childrens names so that I am aware that they are children in the classroom. Most beginner adults draw at the same level as a 12 year old child.
