These are my most recent 2 drawings that I've done this year. Both A2 in size, and I wanted to try something different. Instead of drawing the "whole animal", I decided I would try a close up version, and cover the whole paper. They took a bit longer to draw, but I think I prefer this "effect". What do you Guys think?

Wow thats impressive !
Great detail, and I love that the further into the picture you get on the tiger the more out of focus it is.
And the elephant is amazing, you have gotten the trunk of the Elephant really detailed, making it for me the focus of the picture.

These are very well drawn Adrian. I love detail in animal portraits and yours are wonderful. How long do you spend on these?

I love the detail, would also love to know how long they took if you keep track of the time that you sit at your drawing board.

fantastic Adrian, you have a lot of talent. They are almost photographic. I also am interested in how long you spend doing that sort of detail. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Guys, for all the compliments. To answer the main questions people always ask, "How long did it take?"....well, I can't tell you accurately, but what I can say is that I worked on them only a few hours at a time, just when I felt like it. All in all I would guess they took me between 30 - 35 hours each to draw, but thats just guessing.
