I like hatching much better than squirkling.
Unless i was like drawing a sheep or lamb.

Another good lesson, I was a little confused with the lesson, because at the beginning you only need a 2b pencil, then item no6 refered to a hb pencil.

I agree - I like hatching much better than squirkling. I sure see a place
for squirkling though.

As I draw this on a quite large paper, then I found it hard to make such straight and correct lines.
I don't quite understand do we have to draw these lines quickly or slowly?
Well, anyway, here is my piece

I like that your practice hatching actually turns out a picture, makes me feel like I'm creating something special. It looks good.

I definately prefer squirkling for large pictures. It's hard to keep lines straight with large area to cover. I'm wondering how to do it properly (fast or slow?). Squirkling also looks more life like when it comes to rough surfaces like mountains.

Happy New Year 2010. Now that the company is gone I can get back to lessons in drawing. I look forward to each and every one. Thanks for all the clear and helpful lessons which are improving my drawing and are available for me to take at my own pace.
