It's my first post here and how appropriate that I've decided to place it in the welcome forum.
I have been drawing for years. turned the age of 50 December 8th and it's amazing to me,
how many new and wonderful things I have learned from this website. It certainly beats a lot
of what I learned from the how-to-draw books by Walter Foster, Jon Gnagy and Arthur Zaid-
enberg (I loved Zaidenberg's offbeat technique of building drawings and paintings of people,
animals, landscapes and seascapes from lines drawn at obtuse angles. Even in my youth,
however, I knew there was more to art than this!) and i'm talking about years and decades
of art study. Still, it's nice to discover a site like this. It helps to keep the whole business of
art interesting. The most dangerous thing on earth is an artist who gets bored!

Welcome to your new home away from home Mike smile.gif Once you are immersed in art, it becomes part of you. Sharing and talking here is as vital as drawing practice and there are lots of opportunities to do both.

Help is a message away. Enjoy yourself.

sad.gif I would like to show my work, there is certainly a lot available but (sadly) I have no home computer, use a
public computer at the local library and have no available technology to send my work to any websites. For as
long as I use the tutorials/forums I am doomed to be like the man without a country, only able to tell about my
artwork, never display any of it. I can sum that feeling up in two words...PAIN-FULL!

Mike,

Don't let me get your hopes up but check with your librarian...our local library does have a scanner available for public use and yours may too.
It never hurts to ask. Welcome to Drawspace.
