hello everyone.. I usually don't go in forums but this is a very very good site.. I love the way everything is explained here..this is very very good:)
Anyways, my name is Kat I am 25 year old who lives in Quebec Canada.. I think we are the only province who doesn't have snow (which is weird cos last year we had like 5 feet of snow by this time).. I like to draw with pastels and watercolors.. or different kinds of mediums..my problem is shading.. I have such a hard time at it.. but I know practice makes perfect.. but a part from that I don't really know what to say a part that I want to go back to school.. I want to go to Cegep (college) and do a degree in Arts.. and after that take some courses at Saidye Hoffman, then go in University and take a teaching degree.. I would love to teach arts basically.. I draw and paint children type of drawing.. I just cant draw serious.. I need colors and fun..weird huh? And I am amazed that I am not only the only big kid on earth who likes this kind of stuff..anyways.. i am babbling on now Nice to meet you all!

This is the place to get serious and have fun. Try out the challenge thread or the sketching from life thread. Brenda has some excellent lessons on shading. I just finished doing freaky froggy which was about blending.

Hello!! nice to meet you:) god I have been drawing on and off.. well I started drawing last year but I have been serious at it since like a few months ago.. I have been doing watercolor painting after watercolor painting.. I am challenging myself to do the draw the 100 image theme thing on a other website..


Can we post some stuff here? I mean stuff we need some judgement on? If yes where can I post?

Welcome Katchen! I'm glad you have posted and hope you will take some time to look around and participate in the different threads. They're all great practice and will help a lot.

As, you're not the only province without snow - we don't have any either. Its a strange year everywhere it seems.
