Is cambridgeshire a part of cambridge or am I way off? when I was in england I went to cambridge and much like london illl never foret it !

Youve got it the wrong way round - Cambridge is part of Cambridgeshire

Yes, mumwond has it right - Cambridgeshire is the county that surrounds the city of Cambridge. Actually the bit I am in is Huntingdonshire (round Huntingdon) - or used to be until a local government reorganisation some years ago!
