I'm somewhat frustrated at the UI in this program. I started a thread yesterday here and got a reply from Cindy. I replied with quote, added my comments and the pressed "Add Reply". The site was contacted and it brought me back to the original thread but no reply was posted. I have tried this about 5 or 6 times with the same result. I logged out and then back in but I still was unable to reply. I didn't see anything in the rules that said a new member cannot reply to their own threads for a period of time ...

I program computers and repair them for my living and have for many years so I'm not challenged with the machines. I do not understand what I am doing wrong here. The rest of the site is pretty straightforward ... I was able to create an album and upload samples easily enough, but this is exceptionally annoying.

If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears ... sad.gif

I understand that brand new users are prevented from posting URLs for a while, as a spam prevention measure. A post with a URL in it is simply ignored. We used to get a lot of porn links posted by bots, but this measure has stopped them.

In any case, I'm guessing when Cindy said she looks forward to seeing some of your work, you responded by posting a link, yes? The restriction is lifted after you've posted in the forums a small number of times.

Yes ... that's got to be the problem. Thanks Ernest ... I'll try again without the link.
