Greetings fellow drawing enthusiasts. My name is Victor. I've already posted some drawings in my gallery and I decided to introduce myself, since over the past week I've noticed how friendly everyone seems.

I am from Los Angeles, but the last 2 years I've been working in Orlando and now I'm in Chelyabinsk, Russia with my Fiancee Masha. You'll get to know her too since I will definately post lots of portraits of her. She is my favorite and most available model.

I have always loved drawing, but I didn't start taking it seriously until about 5 years ago. After trying a few jobs and searching for a real carreer. I decided to take up drawing again and I started to work as a caricature artist in Six Flags Magic Mountain. The experience of drawing hundreds of people from life has been invaluable to my developement and last year I moved to Orlando and I started to also draw portraits from life.

Portraits have now become my favorite type of drawing.

I'm self taught and I'm always searching for good books to learn from and I usually buy them because of the art work. If you are going to learn from a book, make sure you get book that inspires you to draw. Earlier this year I happened upon a copy of Brenda's book on drawing people and it inspired me to be mored detailed in my drawings. Her realism and depth in her drawings are wonderful. Which is how I found this site. Searching the web for the author of that book.

Well, I'm glad I found this place. It inspires me to draw when I see art work, especially drawings, and I'm glad to see that this is a nuturing supportive environment for those, who like most of us, want desperately to improve our drawings.
