In this lesson you draw the three-dimensional form of a sphere with a focus on light, shadows, and a cast shadow. The medium is charcoal, and erasers are the drawing tools.

THis is a wonderful, informative, and engaging lesson. I feel like I could do this because of the ease in which this lesson was written. Made me feel confident that I could complete this lesson with some success.

This was a good lesson. I personally didn't do as the lesson said. I just drew a circle, filled it, deleted a bit and voilaa... It came out quite bad because my paper was awfully smooth and I was gentle with my pencils... Exuses, excuses, I know... but really, I'm telling the truth
Anyway, here are the result

Dear ,
u definately have done agreat job , craeting this site.Only a person with great ideas , and revenue can do this.
Only one thing i dont respect is why do u ask the visitors to pay for the down load?
Also how do u expect a budding artists (who are really interested in learning fine arts) , who even is not able to make his daily leaving n aproper/prosperous way pay for this learning.if possible give it for free.
c u later
thanks
raju.

This one was so fun! I used a charcoal stick and held it with a piece of tissue, so I did the shading and blending in one motion.

In reply to the why must we pay?! thing, that would be because this site costs money to run, and doesn't have ads. If you can think of another way to keep the site running other than ads or premium membership, please tell Brenda. Oh, and I'd like to point out that that wasn't sarcasm in my post

good lesson, specially good to know about the reflected light.
And to Raju, why don't you just look at the lessons online, then it is for free...

I drew the same thingin my drawing class. I had never been able to draw, a straight line before I went to classes. I found it astonishing that i could end up drawing something just by shading, really confidence builder. I am going to take it back up now I live on my own, my daughter got married, we all moved home and now I am on my own with a bit of peace and quiet I am going to take up drawing andpainting again.
