Beautiful! You did a fantastic job on Ava, thank you! I love it!

Well.... here is my drawing of Ava, I want to keep going on certain parts but my better judgment says to stop while your ahead. I can always find something that I feel is just not right and then I go and mess it up. I still hate the hair although I have to say it does look better then all of the others that I have drawn. I can't imagine that I am improving in that area.... I think I just tried a little harder if that makes sense.

I have to go and find or take some new photos for this week, I hope no one minds if I host again

OMG, Ava is loving all of the attention! Thank you all. I do have to say for myself this one might be one of my favorites so far. I think I'm getting there slowly but surely!

OK... in the spirit of the un-forgiving rose I will hopefully make you feel much better Carol. I threw in the white flag after 10 minutes and some bad words. It was a battle with a rose and the rose won!

Well one thing about these challenges is facing those weaknesses that we have been so afraid of trying .. Being among others who find no shame in trying ..and sometimes ..just sometimes ... we get it right.. Chris you should give yourself a big ole pat on the back .. you dove in there and faced "Hair Trauma".. I am so proud that you recognize and want to learn..
I love the portrait like crazy,, You should have seen my first attempt at hair..You would have laughed.. Keep looking for tutorials and getting help from others .. I think I am going to have to sign up for the next class I find near my town and just LEARN..

We love it! I have never tried animals because of the whole "hair thing" but maybe someday. Great job on daisy

ps... Ava loves all of the drawings of daisy as well as her own.

Well.... I kinda got lost in all of the layers. I started by outlining the outside first and then work my way in and then I just couldn't find my way out! I was getting so frustrated that I just X'd it. ( I have to admit I do give up quite easily when I get frustrated.)

I'm wondering if I started on the inside and worked my way out if that would have been better? Any advice?

Thank you, This week was a lot of fun I think for all of us and I am so happy that you all participated. Now I have to go out and take some pictures for this upcoming weeks challenge.

Everything I have been shown or told says start at the bud and work outwards.. I get terriblymessed up about the 3rd row out.. Now if it was just a page full of buds .. I think that would work for me..

Monikam GREAT one of Daisy , so soft and fluffy, you need to make sure you get in on the January ATC trade for sure.

Okay I found this tutorial.. not exactly one that tells you why and how but good to watch .. I am sure there are others but as a step toward the process..
