In this project, you draw a silly cartoon face that looks like a big fat nose!

Good lesson, I found it hard to achieve the same results as the examples.

[attachmentid=5627]OK. Here's my attempt at this lesson. I found the shading a little difficult. I didn't want to end up with a hairy looking nose. LOL I looked at this drawing off and on for a couple of hours and thought it was OK. However, when I scanned it I found a couple of things that need correcting.
I had fun. Thanks Brenda.

I thought the shading was a little hard. But over all it was fun! And I think my picture turned out all right.

I found it fairly hard to give the picture the illusion of balls.

I skipped over this lesson at first, didn't want to draw a cartoon. Did it now for shading practice before doing a "real" lesson, and thought it was a good warm up.

This was great fun for me. I'm wish I knew a "quick way" to improve my range of values though. This lesson showed me how flat my drawing is (even though I used H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), it still feels like I might have used only a #2 pencil to hatch this one.

*sigh* always room for improvement!

Eh! I have to work on the sphere. My spheres don't look natural yet.

For the smelly spheres, I used squirkles for the eyes. Baldy noears is very smudged, even though I had a piece of paper under my hand. Any tips? I hope it still looks OK. Here they are.

Thank you Brenda, once again!
Loved this project! This is you making us feel that we can accomplish a task having lots of fun with it and improving our skils at the same time.
Love my Smelly Spheres although mine didn't came out as smoth as yours but it turned out very well. I enjoy looking at my work.
My goal is to make good realistic drawings. I would love to make nice portraits one day so I can make a portrait of the son of a friend and give it to the mum without feeling shame of it. Would also love to draw my dog, that I love dearly, and my sister's kitten.
So I have to practice and work very hard in order to do it proudly.
