Full Version: WIP Forum?

Is there a spot here suited for just Works In Progress? No final drawings unless its at the end of a WIP? I think it'll help people a better chance to study others' techniques and process. It will help artists guide other artists as they're going about their project with new ideas and suggestions. I know there is a critique forum which is great, but I think it would be nice to have a Works In Progress forum as well. (unless there is and I didn't see it) tongue.gif

We need that

Great idea, I hope it will come.

If it's a "here, watch me draw" kind of WIP, then it goes in Tutorials; if it's a "I'm working on something, help me through it" then it goes in "General Discussion". My feeling is we have too many separate forums already.

are both in "General Discussion" - make this sense ?

IMHO I would vote for a seperated WIP Forum.

I don't think "I'm working on something, help me through it" should go in the "General Discussion" forum. I would put it in the Critique forum before the general forum. But the Critique is more for finished work to be critiqued.

I think if you had WIP forum, more people would post WIPs which would help them improve faster.

General Discussion, to me anyway, seems like more of a general discussion forum. Like discussions for art, tools, references, tables, how your day was that day or how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop...

You would know entering the "WIP FORUM" that they are all works in progress. Almost like a class room with people drawing together. If I'm looking for WIP threads, I sure don't want to search for them in the general discussion forum.
