After seeing the tragedy in Haiti, I wanted to do something as an artist to help. I am auctioning one of my prints, Purity Kisses, on Ebay and the proceeds from it will be donated to the Haiti Relief fund though Doctors Without Borders.

Also www.140hours.com will be holding an art auction online through Twitter on January 29 to raise funds for Haiti. You can donate a piece of art there to help the cause as well.

I find that constant marketing of your auction helps keep it in the public eye. Don't think that by putting it on Ebay it will sell itself. Use your networks to circulate the information, Facebook, Twitter, local media. They all help in exposing the idea to people who may wish to bid and donate.
