Since Fancy is by now an established celebrity, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her paw at Hollywood walk of Fame,
It's time to move on to some other pictures.
Here is the snail, par example.
20min.sepia and graphite.

Nice job! You have captured the snail very well. Thanks Elena.

Gilbert

They do but not in this one I did of the snail..

I used the Derwent Inktense pencils with the Liquid pencil ..

Now liquid pencil comes in Sepia and red , blue and Yellow.. I am waiting for my order to come in .. I ordered the Sepia .. If I like the Sepia then I'll order maybe the other colors.. Ya'll have to know that this is a new Medium and the only place I know so far to get it is Jerry's Artarama catalog.. I had a friend that said she went to Michael's here in Texas and also Hobby Lobby and it is so new that even they haven't heard of it .. They followed her around until they got all the info from her and I bet by this time next week those 2 stores will carry it.

My Art League Ladies want me to have a Demo Class to show them how to use this new stuff.. I promise .. anyone who uses it will have a bottle or two in their Studio..

P.S. I am loving the different draws on your thread Gilbert .. Everyone has contributed some mighty fine Art !!

Yes, We have some might fine artist among us.

Thanks for the details on liquid pencil. Does it work like ink. Can you erase?

By the way, I'm also a Texan. The art that you have displayed is something I'm planning to work up to. You have some very nice drawing/paintings.

Gilbert

No I tried with my pencil eraser and a kneadable eraser and neither lift it .. You can re-wet it and lift most of it .. but don't rub real hard (just dab)or do it too many times it's like watercolor ..after a while it will mess with the integrity of the paper.. Re-wetting is great for adding values and such and I do that all the time and it works well.
Yes I see we are both Texans.!!!. Hi Neighbor !! of course we both know you can live in Texas and still be like 3 states away.. Ha !
Are you going to do the Indian Series too? .. Super !! be sure and share your work okay ?

Hello everyone,
I dared a close-up roxy this time. This is the first time I attempt an animal. I first tried the black oil pastel. Then I tried pencil. I couldn't decide which one is worse tongue.gif so I put both here.
Gilbert, your dogs are so cute. Thank you for the challenge.
ncgirl
Gilbert, I too am in love with the dogs. I've started on a drawing - and am posting the very beginning. This may take longer than this week's challenge (an educated guess, since I'm still working on a drawing from last week's challenge), but I will post the finished product. This looks better in reality, I had to really darken the scan to get the lines to pick up. I left off most of their body, concentrated on the faces ('cause they are SO CUTE) and put them closer together.

What breed of dogs are these?

Hallo everybody!
I haven't been around for a couple of days and I have started to miss the forum. I decided to have a look at the challenges and, of course, I had to draw the cat, even though it's bed time and I am sleepy. I did a quick one with a pen and I would like to do more - fantastic animal!
Great photos and beautiful drawings apart from Fancy! Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. I must say Fancy came out nicely. Great job for sharing.

Gilbert

First drawing for thre weeks - longest gap for over a year. Also first time I've tried black paper, using mainly 'Derwent drawing - Chinese white'.

Hi Norma! Good to see you back, it hasn't been the same without you! I think a lot of people are going through dry spells, I'm just getting out of one myself. I love the effect of the white cat on black paper - I think it really gives him depth.

Sully came out great! Although it's a weekly challenge, I've posted drawings after the challenge. Primarely for the reason, I just didn't have the time, but I liked the subject matter.

Thanks for sharing.

Since I'm also participating in the Crazy Cat card trading challenge, here is my interpretation of Fancy 2.5X3.5. I hope who ever gets it, likes it
