Hi

Recently finished Drawing for Dummies which renewed my interest in drawing - I usually paint in pastel - so thought I'd have a look around here.

It's my intention to earn a living by painting portraits and as I'm the world's worst procrastinator I'm hoping by joining in here you will all encourage me to get on with it!

I'll be 50 in March but have only been drawing/painting on and off for a few years. Got a lot of catching up to do

My life revolves around my dogs - all three are rescues. Fortunately my husband is a dog lover also

I love dogs also, I do better with puppies that I have trained rather than rescues. I think our house is just to crazy for them or maybe I don't have the touch? It's too bad because I'd probably rescue everything.( well my husband probably thinks its good, he's not a dog person.) Anyways welcome to drawspace. It's a great place to learn.

Hello Carol...Welcome to Drawspace. Unfortunately, I learned after having a dog and the responsibilities involved on top of 4 children ALL under the age of 10, I am not a dog person. I love cats though. Always have. My mom says she thinks my disliking of dogs is because when I was little I was so attached to our German Shepherd that after she died I detached myself from any other dog. I think she may be right. I have never found a dog I liked that took poor Sanny's place. Funny how even though I was 5 when we lost her and I can barely remember anything about my childhood I still remember my love for that dog.
Anyways, back to the subject.... I hope you enjoy Drawspace, everyone here is wonderful and eager to help with anything you may need. Feel free to join the Draw Challenges in the General Forum and participate in the other threads. We would all enjoy having you there.
