I really like drawing art deco with a modern flare. Heh, wrap your cells around that comment! I just want to learn to draw better, and be able to hang a few of my things around the house, and not have another picture on the back so I can turn them over when company comes over. tongue.gif

Mermaids....I just think there is something magical to them. It's really challenging but I just keep obsessively drawing them over and over again. Someday, I will get them right. I also like zen-tangles....they are really fun doodles that I usually start with to loosen my fingers up some before moving on to serious drawing!

dogs! or any kind of animals smile.gif

Hi Everyone,

I like to draw all kinds of animals, special the hairy ones.
I'm kind of realist but can like other things as well, Chinese painting for-instance.

I would like to learn using color.
Usual I work with black pencil or ink but I want to learn using color-pencil which is my first goal.
I also want to learn using aquarel, gouache and oil-paint.
Then I want to learn see-drawing and most of all more drawing.

I like to draw women, especially in lingerie or naked. However, I'm beginner, so I found some difficulties with drawing technics, anatomy details and proportions of the body. I'm newcomer thus I hope that lessons will help me to improve on these things.
Beside that, I love to draw cartoon stories for my son, these are usually adventures of himself along with his best friend, Wall-e robot. Some says that these stories looks good and amusing.
Also, I do like to draw what I see, the mugs, the figurines-toys that my son posess, this way I train to draw also.

I love to draw women, preferably naked, but right now I am just in the process of learning to draw all over again, its been 17 or so years since I have drawn anything with a pencil at all, but signed up for a Basic Drawing course as part of my degree requirement, so its a nice way to get back into it. Now I just have to get time to practice, practice and more practice.
Hungry_Joe
I like to draw anime-ish things (more realistic than anime but too much anime to not look real). I admit it's mostly drawings of feminine nature but sometimes men but the shapes ar so dull and boring smile.gif.
What I would like to be able to draw is really good cartoons and anything in oil.
onona
I only really enjoy nude figure drawing, with a live model, male or female, young adult to old. I go to a drawing session once a week for this.

I had to giggle when I read this, because I designed a liquor label recently with the instructions, "Art deco meets The Civil War." I actually completed this task successfully.

My favorite things to draw are portraits, but I get frustrated really easily. I've been working on pen and ink recently and have a show coming up called "Tiles." It's drawing, but not representational. It's more decorative, kind of abstract, I guess.

My last actual commission was a tiger lily (photo attached) in oil pastels, which is my favorite medium. I'd love to learn to draw glass and metal surfaces.

my favorite thing to draw?

.. I do not know! I have no particular favorites - what I like, that I paint

which now can be a bird, tomorrow a person or building and the day after maybe a tree or a landscape

I try everything paint/draw what pleases me, or is given as an order

whether landscape, portrait, animal or object or still life

Of course, I paint/draw what I personally prefer the most or challenge as a motive,

whether in oil, pastel, pencil, ink, charcoal or acrylic - with watercolor I can not make friends - not yet wink.gif

Is actually quite simple = I paint / draw what I like, because I have very very big fun of drawing and painting smile.gif

I like to paint everything - people, animals, things, nature... And I love different the materials, but especially pencils and watercolors. Everything depends on my mood. happy.gif
Veral
Animals and fantasy creatures but I also like flowers. I can not draw humans, they look like monsters. rolleyes.gif
Cynthia
I like to draw landscapes with water somewhere - ponds, rivers, the ocean. I only recently returned to drawing and that came most easily. I would to be able to draw figures realistically and perhaps one day portraits. I usually work in watercolour ( pencils and paint) but recently more with graphite (pencils) and pastels. Working in all kinds of dry media is my ultimate goal.

I have always liked to draw animals but lately I have found myself fascinated with buildings and trees, especially old buildings and trees. I really want to learn to draw just about anything, and would love to learn how to do portraits someday, but it is not on the top of my priority list at the moment smile.gif
ncgirl
Animals, flowers and landscapes. I just can't do humans. tongue.gif Currently I draw in pencil and colored pencil only, but I'm learning acrylic painting with what time I can spare. I love old barns in a landscape, and abandoned cemetaries, both of which are plentiful here.
kim1963
some of my favorite things to draw are people ...but I enjoy the challenge of anything chrome or reflective ...small items like a Zippo lighter or a key chain .. the detail in those can be alot of fun .
ElleLynn
I really like to draw Anime like this one I made:
(Sorry for the size, not sure how to size it down ohmy.gif )

Other than that I would love to learn how to draw better people as in full body. Hands and perhaps even feet the most important points to improve. I have done some things from here, but those didn't turn out good enough yet.

As of right now, I mainly use pencil, charcoal and pens... but I too would like to become better with pastels... as well as paints.
I enjoy drawing people, cartoons, trees, houses and some other things here and there. I wish to become a better realistic drawer, as well as imaginative. I hope to become good enough to just think of a really good piece of art in my mind... and just bring it to life! smile.gif
tangypeach97
I LOVE to draw chibi anime. My Drawspace avatar is actually one that I drew. I can draw realistic people (very satisfying and enjoyable), and I usually draw freehand (no rulers or compasses). I almost always work with pencil, though I also do pastel and watercolor sometimes.
firmin
