I discovered the link to DrawSpace through an e-mail newsletter I got a couple weeks ago. Being of a like mind, I thought I'd check it out. So here I am.
Most of my drawing skills have been self-taught, and I do admit the only formal art class I've taken is a ceramics class to fill out credit hours my senior year of college. But I did doodle incessantly in my class notes all the way through my college career. Many people said my notes were the most interesting because of the activity in the margins.
I did spend four years doing graphics work for a small screen-print shop, which was a great experience. I learned much during that time, but ended up with it becoming a chore at the end of my span there. That's one thing that has really contributed to my main problem with drawing and other art forms: motivation. I like to draw and write, but always seem to come up with some excuse to not do either of them.
So, I hope to learn much here and maybe get some motivational pointers from everyone.
Thanks for reading all of this. I do tend to babble.
