Where can I find a good beginner hair tutorial
Nancy B
Brenda covers drawing hair on several of her lessons right here on her site. H-12 is on long straight hair and several of her lessons from beginers and up have portraits with curly hair, look at U08 Manisha for curly hair, U01 Annie and others. You can just work on the hair for now if that is what you feel you need or want.

This is how I learned to draw hair; still one of the best resources I've seen.

Great link biggrin.gif

Proves how simple is better and creates a more complicated look than complicated itself.

Now I have bookmarked that tutorial lol, I would say go to deviantart and search hair tutorials, all of those are online and don't pop up in the .pdf format like they do here. I hope that helps and I'm relatively sure that there will be loads on there so if one doesn't work out for you there will be another that will either explain itself a little easier or just make more sense to you and will match your style/way of doing things a bit better smile.gif

most of deviantart's is over anime

I wouldn't know when it came down to searching for hair tutorials to be honest because I have never looked but they have introduced a way of filtering the searches so you can look for realistic hair tutorials rather than anime hair tutorials. But you know if that site still doesn't provide anything for you than fair enough. smile.gif

James Gurney (of Dinotopia fame) has two good posts on hair on his blog:
http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2008/04/...string-mop.html
http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2008/04/...bon-secret.html

they are more about analysis of appearances than the excellent "how to" link Ernest provided, but well worth a read
