I see often in the threads that some of you use Conte crayons or pencils. What is it exactly?
Is it possible to mix Conte pencils with graphite pencils in the same drawing?
Sorry, but I don't know anything about it!

Conte crayons or pencils are rather like a hard thin stick of pastel. They come in earth tones and give a 'old' feel to work. Conte and the sanquine colours always remind me of Michangelo or Da Vinci works.
As for using with graphite, I'm sure they can, it would depend on how they were used. They would pretty much overpower graphite lines or shading but for accents it would work. Experiment and see what happens.

I have conte crayons but as for using them I rarely use them. When I have used them before they were easy to apply and smooth.
