I was just looking for info on Picasso and I found this link www.mrpicassohead.com and you can make your own picasso head with some shapes that are already there. It was fun I made one.

And on another note. Omg does Picasso ever have such a long name lol
Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso

That is just right, see that wasn't so hard, I really like it.
Frithy
One really good sight to look at is one called zentangles.com , have a look at it and it might inspire some new ideas.
Jangra
I can't remember the cow one Frithy. I will have to see if I can find the files. I do remember doing the Valentine one and I do Zentangles. I have some ideas but theye aren't really Picassoish. Just different than the normal heart.
Milkquasy
Just to make sure I am doing this right...I use index cards of good quality, right?

I usually use Bristol Smooth paper or greeting card type paper (cardstock) or med watercolor paper. The size should be 2.5 x 3.5 inches. About the size of a playing card. Some people even use playing cards and put gesso or something over the card and then do their art.

good deal, I will pop down to the art store today and pick up some water color paper and then cut it to size. Thank you so much!

Sounds like we are all cooking with gas! I can't wait to see the weird things we come up with for Picasso - ish hearts!
JacquiP
Well I've been busy Googling Picasso paintings for ideas. I have done six. Not happy with all of them, I'll try and scan them this evening so you can have a peek and let me know your thoughts. This is much harder than dogs smile.gif but still fun.

Jacqui
Milkquasy
This is so much fun! Here are a couple, I liked them alot better before the scan! I will keep working until I have some that I love. My husband says he heard me purring as I was working on them. LMAO!

Great job Milk!! I'm glad you having fun with it. smile.gif

Jacqui - I'm sure you've done an excellent job on them. Can't wait to see them.

I've sketched out about six of them so far and colored one in. This is loads of fun. smile.gif

I've also been studying Picasso's art. It's so fascinating that despite the fact that he's well-known for his cubist style paintings, he also painted many realistic portraits.

I have 5 finished. No more sneak peaks from me. wink.gif This definitely took me out of my comfort zone and off my normal style. Having fun.

I was just as surprised as you were when I first saw a collection of Picasso's paintings. I never knew he painted realistic portraits too. smile.gif
Frithy

I got your PM toady Gretchen.......still planning mine.

All I could think of for the last few days has been ark building. Friday night we had 16 inches of rain.........yes you did read that right 16 inches in a 12 hour period!!. And while it only drizzled occasionally on Sunday it has stormed periodically yesterday and today. My driveway has been partially washed away and I have the Grand Canyon growing out there [glad I have a 4 wheel drive!].

Hope everyone over in teh States who was affected by that huge snowstorm in the North-East that occured over the weekend has survived OK with their rooves surviving the weight of "Snowmaggedon"!

wow.. all this extreme weather some places are receiving is unbelievable. Toronto/Hamilton area didn't get much of anything yet. My hubby has serious snowmobile anxiety, there hasn't been enough snow to take it out the whole winter. The most we got was maybe 3 in of accumulation in our backyard over a span of few snowfalls.. lol.. We usually get so much snow only half of our fence is visible in the winter.

The weather is playing "Feast or Famine" this year. wink.gif

Yes I agree, the olympics are happening here on the weekend and it has been the warmest winter we have had, in many years.
They are having to bury tubes at the bottom of the ski run and fill them with dry ice just to keep the snow that they are piling there from melting. The top of the run has enought snow, and Whistler is doinfg Ok for snow. Bur my flowers are blooming, and dame I will have to cut the grass next week.
Frithy
I am wondering if everyone in this exchange could send me you email , and will send you the list, pronto. Please!
