Wow Carol what an amazing job you did! I am in awe of your watercolors.......unless roses (LOL!) in case someone does not get the joke... it goes back a few challenges to the picture of some roses.

LOL .. yup I shoulda stuck a rose bud on that tree.. Ha !! Flowers to me look like a jumbled up mess of petals going ever which a way but the right way.. Oh let's not forget the 2 inches of paint I slather on 'em.. Oh yeah .. talk about a CHALLENGE.. that would be it.. and then there's HAIR..

Here is my pen attempt at the waterfall. It lacks a sense of depth. I have never tried water before. It is very hard. Would need to try again on this one I think. But see what you think.

You did a fantastic job on this waterfall! I see what you mean about the depth in the drawing, I have never tried water either and now I can see how difficult it is to somehow allow the water to stand out as the focal point. I think that you have done a brill job!

I googled "hairy rose" and guess what I found Carol...... "A Hairy Dog Rose" LMAO!!!!!! I think I am going to try to draw something real special just for you. I'm horrible at hair, terrible at roses and I have never tried to draw a dog so I think this will be quite fun... I'll show my hubby how much time I have on my hands!

As I promised I work on the leaf here is the first stage of my painting. I did the outline with acrylic on canvas. I will go on with details.

That is amazing, who would have thought one leaf would spark so much excitement!

I do have to say it is a pretty cool leaf... it was one of my son's treasures that he found on one of our nature walks. He usually comes home with his pockets stuffed with rocks but on this day he found this great leaf! He has been collecting his"treasures" since he was a baby....it's funny everywhere we go the 2 of us are always scouring the ground for unique rocks. Our mission is to find a perfect heart shaped rock

By the way I have every one of Gabe's rocks in a giant glass candle hurricane shade and I smile every time I look at it.

Thank you so much. It is funny but last Sunday I collected a rock at seaside and I schedule to paint something on it. But unfortunately it is not heart shape.
