Try looking through all the old weekly drawing challenge photos. Some of the members here are very good photographers. But if you do that, don't forget to post the result to the correct weekly drawing thread, even if it's a very old one. It will refresh the thread and give new members a chance to see a weekly challenge that they might have otherwise missed. The challenges are never closed, they are always open for additional drawings.

There are a number of sites around that post images that you can use for practice drawing. Just a word of warning however, if you plan to sell or show drawings that you've done from these images. Many people in the art world use the same sites to harvest images and as a result, some exhibitions found that they ended up with the same drawings or paintings from different artists. You will find that most exhibitions will now only allow art that is completely the work of the artist ie, the photo that you used to draw from must be taken by the artist.
And, by taking your own images, you are in full control of lighting, composition, subject, etc.

If its possible, id say take your own. But that all depends I guess on what your looking for. National Geographics are always full of good photos, just be careful not to "copy" them, but just use them as a reference.
