My observation skills, still are little rusty. In my drawing the ears were 1/2 way up the head. Good lesson.

It's lovely. Very nice lesson and I agree that it is the most realistic person I've ever drawn. My Jamie is about to cry, the end of eyes is to low but is also sweet. I like my little masterpiece. I do hope with next brandon and cameo I wiil come through better. Greetings to Brenda I come from Poland and I'm happy very much that you decided to published in the Internet your lessons. Thanks a lot.

This lesson really tested my ability as I have never drawn a portrait before, the result was quite interesting although my eyes need to be worked on a little bit as he seems really sad in my drawing....when it gets better I might just publish it blush.gif

Did this one a few months ago. This helped me to better understand how to draw hair with the light hitting it.

I didn't even realise my nose was off center until I took the pic. You can't really see the shading at the bottom (lips etc).

It seem a fast/quick drawing but I spent 3 hours to complete this "disaster"! I have to draw and draw again to improve...but it seems that I'm always so far to be good, as ususal comments are welcome!

This isn't a disaster. With every drawing you make, you learn and improve. Your hand movements will become smoother over time. Don't be so hard on yourself, this is actually quite an accomplishment that many people give up on instead of following through as you did. If you continue to be as patient and persistent on every drawing you make, you'll find yourself improving very quickly! I like your little Jamie, he has character. wink.gif

I liked the idea of checking the drawing in the mirror as it really helped me with symmetry. Also the nose was the best i've done so far. Next time i will spend longer than 15minutes on the drawing and I think it will turn out better. Also tips on the hair were helpful

My Jamie looks great althought his mouth, in my drawing isn't quite as Jamie's. My mouth makes him look older than baby Jamie.

Thanks Brenda!

Here's my Jamie, and the lesson inspired me to try a portrait of my own son (in my next post)...
