Mark you did a really good job. I love their expressions, especially Ava. Great job on the hats and jackets. I love Monikas idea of saying they are on top of the mountain... well done.
Chris hope your finger heals. Isn't it illegal to deface currency? LOL Curious to know what you are going to do with it.
Hi Jacqui It's funny that you should ask that, I was thinking the same thing about defacing currency but I googled it and as long as I an not using it as real money there is not a law against it.
Here is the law.
"Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code provides criminal penalties for anyone who fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the Mints of the United States. This statute means that you may be violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. As a matter of policy, the Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage: however, there are no sanctions against such activity absent fraudulent intent"
It could not be any clearer, you can do anything you want to do with your coins as long as you are not trying to commit fraud with your altered coins.
This applies to all US coins.
