My first time working with oil pastels, and my first real topic on this site!
I really want to know what you guys think of this.
I'm not a good artist, just a beginner but I would love to go to a art acadamy when I am older.

I did this in only a hour, I was just trying to work with oil pastels and its great to do. But I prefer pastel chalk.

Hi Veral,
I'm sorry you had to wait for an answer.
This is a lovely drawing!
I don't know much about pastels, but I can see that your drawing has depth and interesting lighting.
When I do drawings with colour pencil I try to use several colours to get one colour.
For example, a yellow petal, might have a couple of shades of yellow as well as some purple (a contrasting colour) for the shadows.
I might also have some reflected colours in my petal, like the green from the leaf and/or the brown from the center.
I certainly think you should follow your dreams. Around here we like to say practice, practice, practice.
