Caught a lovely exhibition tonight at our local Arts Barn. The artist David Churchill paints beautiful watercolors with uncanny attention to detail. What I loved about his work was the almost blinding sunlight you can feel in virtually every one; the shadows are so crisp and deliberate.

Although I'm not a fan of super realistic painting, I admire his artistry and amazing technique - and his dedication and faith with which he overcame Parkinson's disease. It's hard to believe something like the above painting can be done in watercolors.
