I have a 2x2 photo that is very old, kind of curled up on the edges and yellowed. This picture means alot to my wife and I would like to do my best to drawl it on a larger scale seeing how it's curent size is only 2"x 2". I could use some help in trying to make a grid, I am not sure how to go about this. any help would be great ,thanks so much.

Grids are not my area .. I have used a basic grid before but not sure how you would do this on 2x2 ...I has a pic like that of my father from the 50's he was a greaser lol and I loved the pic so my husband restored it and enlarged it and now its much bigger and all cleaned up .

If you have enough detail in the photo, especially in the face area, you could scan the photo and then enlarge to 5 x7 and then print it on plain paper or even photo paper. I would use high resolution, around 200 or 300 dpi to scan it. This would help you get the grid to a more workable size.

Thanks for all of the suggestions I will give enlarging a try and I am sure that will help me grid a little easier. Thanks again

John,
you still have to refer to that old 2x2 picture when you render. I'm afraid you will lose a lot of details after enlarging. But there's no other (convenient) procedure than enlarging the original on photocopier (talking to experience). Take it from Bob, 200 to 300 dpi or more if the maximum resolution the scanner offers. Good luck!
