I can think of no reason why he wouldn't be considered an artist.

I'v eseen this work before somewhere. It looks to me like it's an overlay of a photograph. Very effective. I like it!

If this is completely drawn by pencil i would find it amazing work

If it is overlay of a photo i think it would be quite crude , would not rate it at all

I think it really is an overlay of a photograph. Maybe this is a kind of art anyway.
If it is not a photo+some pencil lines, my question is: could you trace those lines over such a fine art?

Dont get me wrong it would be for sure Art and he an artist but just wouldnt be what i personally would like or rate

Photoshop (or some other image manipulation software) at work. In my opinion it defeats the purpose of drawing, or photography.

I have seen some really amazing work before ...you can only go on what he claims ..if he says its from eye liner a pencil and paper then maybe he is really good ..I try not to question it unless it is plain to see that its a photo ..some can tell by coping the pic and blowing it up for brush strokes .
I also looked it up I find nothin under that name .. whats the site ?

Yeah it was sent to me and I had a look ...the work is very good .. reminds me of Bobbys work here .. his is very exact ...then the hair and the clothes are a bit loose ...I like the style very much ...I can not tell if it is a photo or not but really does it matter ..I mean of course to claim you drew it and you did not is not right but who really knows how anyone of us come to our final piece .
I trust unless you do me wrong ...this is really good work ..I trust it is as he says .

in ways if he draws to that detail Like Bobby does and then is brave enough to put scrawling lines over it for effect then wow woudnt know what to say as i could never do that ,, maybe thats the diff between an artist and some one like me who tries to draw

Thanks you guys ...I do my best to get the results I do ...my thought was that if people have to say ..wow thats too good to be true ...ya know maybe
it is , maybe it isnt ...too call people cheaters ..well this just is not the place for that ..it is a great topic to talk about ..I believe we have a few threads on cheating , or is this really art , whats a real artist ...the list can go on and on lol people express their art in many different ways ...His work is beautiful either way ..but only he knows for sure how he gets the end result ..you can either admire it or not .
There is a well known artist out there who traces his work ...people have said the same things about him ..but I still admire his talent on filling it all in .

We must never assume we are artists. Others who appreciate our work will do that.
