In this project, you first sketch the proportions of a feather, and then use hatching lines to create the texture.

Absolutely green as grass when it comes to drawing, I had a blast doing this feather and it actually looks like one. Thankyou

I liked this lesson very much. It was also my first time to draw a feather and I think I did well
Here is the result

This lesson is not that great, IMO. The feather is defined more by the outward shape, as seen in the previous comment. Otherwise - no amount of shading will differentiate that feather from an ordinary tree leaf.

I think it depends on the distressed level of feather, I know it looks like a leaf but a dirtied up one and pretty realistic!

It's amazing and so gratifying to watch the feather appear from the easy to follow directions.
I don't think it looks like a leaf at all, especially because of the curved lines at the end.

My feather didn't turn out as great as I would have liked. Oh well more practice.

great study, can be used for native american drawins as well as our featherd friends.

I kinda wish I'd know to curve the lines at the edge of the feather before I did the hatching so it would have all matched up - but otherwise things seemd to go okay...
