The .jpg I have attached is in 1200x900 pixel format, gridded at 100 pixel squares which gives you 12x9 squares, meaning one inch squares if you are using 12x9 inch paper. However it would work equally well if you are using smaller or bigger paper... only the squares would be smaller or bigger.
So what you do is resize the picture you are working on to 1200x900 or the closest you can get to that. It doesn't matter if either the height or the width don't match as long as one of them does so you would know where to place your grid.
Now copy the grid and paste it onto your picture using a low transparency... this means that the white background of your grid will be almost invisible, leaving you with only the lines and the numbers and letters superimposed on your picture. This you can save and print out if you wish... it will print out all gridded and numbered. (see attachment 2)
Of course you would still have to grid your drawing paper but at least this is 50% of the work done for you.
