Hello dear friends,
As Easter holiday draws near, I invite you to bring your pastels, colored pencils, watercolors and let's paint together this year's Easter cards.
You can pick any motif that you find appropiate for the occasion. I also want to share some my photos as a source of inspiration in case you want to use some ideas.
Let's do this activity together in this thread and share some greeting cards art that we can mail to our friends and family. Please share here other ideas for greeting cards you have for this Easter holiday.
Here are my photos taken with my Easter arrangements for photo greetings that I send as cards. You may wish to draw the whole picture or just parts of it on a quarter of a 9x12in drawing pad that you apply with glue to a blank greeting card.
The bunny in the photos visited my garden on Easter Sunday 2004. I suspect that one of our neighbors bpought it for an Easter gift to children and he came to my garden to look for hidden eggs.
Please ignore my copyright on the cards.

Lovely cards Elena

Are those real eggs? I used to paint real eggs when I was in my teens, I would make a little hole with a needle and empty the eggs, then I would paint them

I wish back then I would have taken photos.

Hi Kay, Clara.
Yes, in our Orthodox Christian tradition real boiled eggs are painted some times with many wonderful motifs. Ukraine is famous for dyed eggs with an elaborate motif in colors.
Those eggs are for eating at the festive Easter table, each person takes an egg and cracks it against another person's egg saying Christ is Risen. The other answer: Indeed Is Risen. It's a tradition that was passed on from primitive Christianity in the East, before the religion became official.
Here are some Romanian hand painted eggs. It also common to decorate wooden eggs that are kept as art pieces for collectioners.

And this is a greeting card I made on fabric for Easter, a few years ago.I guess I will repeat this motif this year also. The idea is Russian but I like it very much, being so colorful.

Very cute. They look like the maracas I did for the music trade. We had a spring day on Saturday and winter on Sunday with hail. Weird weird weather.

Garyfallia, your photos are lovely. Do you have lilac in your village. I love lilac and in california is too warm the climate for it.
