Blind Contour Drawing

Learning to draw accurately depends on many hours of practicing the skill of coordinating your visual skills with your drawing hand, until your eyes and hand work together effortlessly. This fun project enhances your observation skills by encouraging you to very closely examine your subject. In essence, you draw by looking only at your drawing subject, rather than your subject and your pencil and paper.

These are awfully good compared to mine. I tried to comment on Sebastian's workflow but can't work out how to do it. I need as much practice with this website as I do with the drawing :)

It's not easy drawing a stapler this way. It definitely looked like it exploded in one of my attempts.

I apologize that my little blind contour drawings were submitted upside down. I am a newbie to scanning and submitting. I'll get them rightside up next time! The drawings aren't labeled, either, ugh. So to label them. IF it were rightside up! the left corner is a glass lamp with a glass shade floating above it. In the upper right corner is a glass vase with an egg shaped stopper. The middle image is a brass box with dome top and finial, on small feet. To the right is my hand. And then in bottom left corner is a glass vase and in right bottom corner is a couch bolster with a tassel.

Who cares? Your upside-down drawing will just give our right brains more much-needed practice!
