My chair looks more like a beach chair. It was quite challenging.

This was harder than one would imagine, but essential for developing the artist's eye.

The negative space exercise was interesting. In order to position the view finder so both hands were free I taped it to a yard stick and then taped the yard stick to a table. It still looked different if I closed either eye. But I did the best I could.

As noted by other folks, there is currently a mismatch in this lesson.

Lesson B09 is titled “Drawing Negative Space Surrounding a Chair”. However, if you click the button titled “View Lesson” you are taken to a completely different lesson titled “Speed Drawing” by Wayne Olwagen.

As Kergheezen wrote below, you can access the Negative Space lesson by clicking the button titled “Download”.

I sent a note to the site administrator pointing out the problem.

It works when you click on the download button, but you don't get the right lesson when you click on the "view this lesson" button.

Perhaps it only happens to me but when I open the lesson I get "speed drawing by Wayne Olwage" oO?
PrettyMaryK Jul.31st 2011
Yeah, me too. I am not sure why, or if, it is supposed to be that way.
