Hi Monica!

I'm just thrilled that you are taking the time to perfect these skills before moving on. The good news is that you seem to be pressing more lightly with your pencil. :o)

You still need a little more practice with straight lines. I would like to work with you to improve these skills before you continue on to any new assignments. Some students catch on to drawing straight lines well within a couple of weeks. Others take several weeks. The good news is that sooner or later something in your brain clicks and you then have a skill that will stay with you for the rest of your life. :o)

So, please do not begin any new assignments until we get this skill perfected. No problem about time constraints. If need be, I'll add extra time to the end of the course. :o)

Practice assignment 1: Please practice drawing straight lines as in the attached image. Please don't expect to master this skills quickly. You may draw a hundred or more lines before even one turns out the way you want. Remember - draw the lines slowly! When you can draw lines that look like those on the right, please upload them so I can check them over. :o)
